Are You Ready?! Here WE Go!!

Welcome to another exciting year of serving our communities together!

It is truly an honor to serve as your District Governor for 2026-2027. Whether you’ve been a Lion for fifty years or you were inducted last week, thank you for choosing to make a difference.

This year, I hope we remember something simple:

Lions should be fun.

Yes, we have meetings to attend, projects to organize, and goals to accomplish. But somewhere along the way, we need to laugh together, celebrate together, and enjoy the friendships that make Lions Clubs so special. People don’t join organizations because of bylaws—they join because they find purpose, friendship, and joy.

Our mission has never changed.

We serve.

We show up when our communities need us. We collect food, screen children’s vision, support local families, help during disasters, raise money for great causes, and quietly change lives every single day. Sometimes the smallest act of kindness makes the biggest difference.

This year I encourage every club to ask three simple questions:

• Are we having fun?
• Are we making a difference?
• Would someone watching us want to become a Lion?

If the answer is “yes,” then we’re doing something right.

Our district theme is “Here WE Go!!” because this isn’t a year to sit on the sidelines. It’s a year to try something new, invite new people to serve beside us, support each other, and celebrate every success—big or small.

You don’t have to change the world all at once.  Just change one person’s world today.

Thank you for everything you do for your communities, your clubs, and for Lions around the world.

This year, you’ll see a lot of First Vice District Governor Adam Crowson, Second Vice District Governor Tim Meier, and me as we travel throughout District 27-D1. We’ve divided club visits among the three of us so every club receives personal attention while we work together as one leadership team.

Whether Adam, Tim, or I walk through your club’s door, know that we’re there for the same reason—to celebrate your successes, support your club, listen to your ideas, and have a little fun along the way.

We can’t wait to meet with each of you and see firsthand the incredible work you’re doing across District 27-D1.

Let’s make this a year filled with laughter, friendship, service, and memories we’ll never forget.
